Why do I even follow his journal anymore? I surely don't as often as I used to, but every now and again I "check in". Why? Maybe I just want the best for him, even though we didn't work out. Maybe I want to know he doesn't hate me for my decision over two years ago. I just read his most recent entry, and it seems his latest relationship didn't work out. I then read this line: "She was no Kelly, that's for sure." Feels good I guess... nice to look back at a relationship fondly but also know it wasn't meant to last a lifetime (though it kinda did in itself). enough.
Tomorrow, Steve and I are going to the Museum of Tolerance. I cry every time. In fact, to tie in with the last subject, the last time I was there was at the tail end of my last relationship. I cried and cried on the way home, had to work later that night, and customers complained about me. I remember Steve was in Wisconsin and I was so so sad at everything. Ugh.
On another note, Beasley isn't doing so well. She's not responding to me in her usual way, and both my parents agree. As my mom said, "She's way too docile". She cries when we pick her up, and just sounds really sad, and is vomiting. I'm going to try to take her in tomorrow. I love that cat so so much. I just hope she's okay.

What's wrong with me? ::sigh::
I've missed over a week of work now, due to two things: intense body aches and daily fevers. Is the flu really supposed to last this long? I finally gave in Wednesday and went to a doctor who took blood, pee, and a throat culture... all of which came back normal. I went to my follow-up appointment yesterday where he took blood from my other arm to test for proteins and anti-bodies (I think).
I really don't know what's wrong and it's a little scary. Even sitting in this computer chair makes my back hurt SOOOOO badly! I sleep all day long in 3 or 4-hour shifts. How the freakity frack am I gonna work a 2-10:30 shift tomorrow???? Answer: MEDICATE, MEDICATE, MEDICATE.
Poor Sarah. She's been living with us for the past two weeks and I can't even go out with her. I even had to miss our Disneyland trip. At least she went out last night and hopefully had some fun.

My Steve is gone. Left for WI this morning. I'm glad I scheduled my trip to coincide with his... not as hard.
I've gotten so used to spending tons of time with him. For example, Mondays are one of our days to spend with each other, and today without him was pretty boring. I dropped off my freelance proofreading crap in the mail, went to the gym, went to Old Navy to pick up some shorts for my upcoming trip to the blazing heat of TN and NY, and then took a nap. Later on I got sucked into watching the finale of Hell's Kitchen (which I haven't watched at ALL til this point). I actually had the dvd player on with American Beauty ready to go, and seriously could not turn the tv off when the finale started, so I watched the 2-hour finale instead. Ugh. It was interesting and made me super-hungry.
I talked to Sarah for a little bit tonight... I really miss that girl and am excited to see her this Sunday. =) I am also super-happy to see Sean and his crew in a couple weeks!!! =)
In other news, I love Tony Banks!
I'll probably be writing in this thing mucho this week... ::sigh::...

Joined Bally's today. I look forward to working out lots and lots. Worked on my resume last night with Steve, and today am sending out for a freelance proofreading position. I might actually apply to a real job soon too. Exciting.
Watched "High Fidelity" last night for the first time... it was pretty good and gave me some much needed insight into the mind of guys. haha.
Looking forward to my Tennessee and New York trip in August!!!! =)

I need a career path. I'm not suited for office work, to be sure. I hate answering phones, organizing crap, and being talked down to. I've stayed with B&N for so long for a few reasons: I LOVE the people I work with, the managers let me work independently for the most part with zero responsibility, and there's not much pressure. Many people have said it's the ideal job - if we were paid more. haha. With that said, I *don't* want to be a lead... the schedule is erratic with a minimal pay increase.
Then, the question becomes, what do I do with myself????
I have this feeling I'll become a preschool teacher like my mom. When I was little (like 10), my dream was to start my own home-based daycare. Why did that fall out of favor? This city is FULL of households with two working parents in need of childcare. I think it's because I started to not like kids when I was a teenager, mainly because I was super-chubby and they started making fun of me. NO FUN. Little kids don't hold back on what they see and observe, and it started to hurt... so I started avoiding the little monsters. haha.
I'm starting to feel like I'm not meant to work. I don't know how else to feel. I looked around on Monster.com and the UCLA career website and everything sounds super boring, and there are NEVER any museum jobs available!!! What the heck am I gonna do with my major?
Sorry. Venting. =)

I watched an amazing story last night on TLC called "The Boy Whose Skin Fell Off" about a rare genetic condition affecting a 36 year old man named Jonny, and how he coped knowing he had a year to live.
